Mat Vogels

Mat is a Partner at Harpoon Ventures, where he focuses on building special projects that raise the tide for everyone involved—creating more opportunities for investors, portfolio companies, and the broader startup ecosystem. He's passionate about connecting people and fostering meaningful collaborations.

Before joining Harpoon, Mat founded Zestful, a Y Combinator-backed startup that secured funding from top investors like Thrive Capital, Box Group, Day One Ventures, Shrug Capital and others. Although Zestful ultimately closed during the pandemic, the experience taught him valuable lessons about entrepreneurship and resilience.

Following Zestful, Mat ran a successful design agency, working closely with leading companies to create engaging websites, impactful branding, and intuitive product designs.

When he's not at work, Mat loves enjoying sunny Colorado with his family. He enjoys playing golf course, tennis, and pickleball.
